[News & Book = Reporter Kang Sun-young] Comedian Lee Hyuk-jae is undergoing police investigation after causing an accident by colliding with a motorcycle while drunk driving.

On the 9th, the Incheon Yeonsu Police Station announced that they have booked Lee without detention on charges of drunk driving under the Road Traffic Act and are investigating him.

Lee is suspected of driving a vehicle while intoxicated on a road in Songdo-dong, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, around 10 PM the previous day, colliding with a motorcycle that was waiting for a signal.

It was reported that Lee's blood alcohol content at the time was measured at a level between 0.03% and 0.08%, which results in a license suspension.

The police stated that if injuries to the victim driver are confirmed, charges of bodily injury under the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Settlement of Traffic Accidents may also be applied.

Meanwhile, Lee Hyuk-jae participated as one of six judges, including the chairperson, in the People Power Party's open audition for young proportional representation provincial council members held ahead of the June 3 local elections in March.
