The fan cafe 'Hero Nation' for singer Lim Young-woong donated sports equipment worth 2 million won to the White Skull Division to celebrate Armed Forces Day. This donation follows a previous visit where the fans noticed the need for new equipment for the soldiers.
[News & Book = Kang Seon-yeong reporter] The fan cafe 'Hero Nation' for singer Lim Young-woong donated sports equipment worth 2 million won for the soldiers of the White Skull Division in observance of Armed Forces Day.
This donation was not a one-time sponsorship, but was prompted by the process of visiting the White Skull Division this past June to make a donation for Lim Young-woong's birthday, during which they personally inspected the sports facilities and exercise equipment used by the soldiers.
Having confirmed at the scene at that time that some of the exercise equipment was outdated, Hero Nation agreed on the need to replace the equipment so that the soldiers could train their physical strength in a safer and more pleasant environment. Accordingly, in celebration of Armed Forces Day, they prepared and delivered new sports equipment worth 2 million won to the White Skull Division.
They have continued to provide sponsorships exceeding 32 million won to the White Skull Division, and the cumulative donations made by Hero Nation to date reach a total of 66 million won.
Jeong Hyeon-ju, the leader of Hero Nation, said, "During the last birthday donation, seeing the outdated exercise equipment being used by the soldiers personally left an impression on my heart," and added, "In celebration of Armed Forces Day, we proceeded with the equipment replacement with the hope of expressing our gratitude to the soldiers while also wishing they could train in a slightly better environment."
