[News & Book = Kang Seon-yeong reporter] In the 33rd season of 'I Am SOLO', Yeong-ho and Sun-ja, and Yeong-cheol and Jeong-suk, became the protagonists of the final couples.

In the ENA and SBS Plus real dating program 'I Am SOLO' broadcast on Wednesday, September 30, the final story of the Season 33 "Solo-only" (never dated) special unfolded, from the intense competition for the 'Super Date Ticket' to the final selection, receiving support from viewers.

On the 4th day in 'Solo Country 33', the battle for the 'Super Date Ticket' began. Gwang-su displayed a competitive spirit that defied everyone's expectations from the early stages of the game. Yeong-ja expressed admiration, saying, "I actually thought Gwang-su was the weak link, but I was surprised because he was so good at (the game)," and Yeong-suk also noted Gwang-su's new charm, stating, "I felt he was the most 'Teto-nam' (man with strong character) among the six men." In particular, when the number '4' appeared in the 'Round and Round' game, Gwang-su utilized a special skill by hugging Sun-ja, Jeong-suk, and Ok-sun all at once to win the 'Super Date Ticket'.

After the 'Super Date Ticket' battle ended, the solo men and women each used their 'Date Tickets'. After much deliberation, Jeong-suk requested a 'Super Date' with Yeong-cheol, and the two went on a pottery experience. Although it was awkward at first, to the point where silence flowed in the car, they naturally grew closer while making pottery together. Sun-ja proposed a 'Super Date' to Yeong-ho and enjoyed a cafe date. In the pleasant cafe, Yeong-ho showed card magic and performed skinship by placing his hand over Sun-ja's. Reacting to Yeong-ho's smooth flirting, MC Defconn marveled, "This person is not a solo-only! He is a divorcee!" After the date, Sun-ja honestly revealed in an interview, "It was skinship with clear intentions," but added, "I wanted to stay close to him."

Sang-cheol, having acquired a 'Super Date Ticket', approached Yeong-ja after much thought. He made a move on Yeong-ja, saying, "I denied it, but I wanted to get to know her one more time after going around." However, Yeong-ja fell into confusion regarding her own feelings, and in an interview after the date, she shed tears of self-reproach, saying, "I thought excitement meant my heart was pounding, but here, it was actually uncomfortable feelings," and "Why did I even come here? I feel so foolish." Yeong-suk requested a 'Super Date' from Yeong-sik and spent time alone with him at a cafe. There, Yeong-suk openly asked Yeong-sik, "Was there a moment you felt 'heart-fluttering' (sim-kung) for me?" Yeong-sik replied, "Rather than heart-fluttering, it was just steady... and I am grateful." Yeong-suk asked back, "Grateful?" with a bitter smile. After the '1:1 conversation', Yeong-suk confessed in an interview that she felt burdened by Yeong-sik's excessive consideration, saying, "No particular static (spark) occurred." Subsequently, Yeong-suk also had a 'Super Date' with Gwang-su. Having previously won two 'Super Date Tickets', Gwang-su used one for a sushi restaurant date with Hyeon-suk out of "human gratitude," and used the other one on Yeong-suk, whom he had romantic interest in. During the meal accompanied by alcohol, Yeong-suk drew a natural line by treating Gwang-su like a younger brother, saying, "You are so cute that I keep wanting to tease you."

On the evening of the 4th day, shifting love lines were captured. Hyeon-suk chose Yeong-su as the man who changed the most from her first impression, saying, "I didn't know he was a gag character." Yeong-ho tested her by asking, "How do you think it would have been if you knew Yeong-su's cheerful side from the first day?" and Hyeon-suk replied, "I think I really would have chosen him (during the date)." Yeong-ho subtly conveyed this to Yeong-su, and Yeong-su turned on his "hope circuit" by asking, "Really?" Then, even though it was past 2 AM, Yeong-su went to find Hyeon-suk, but she was already asleep. The next morning, seeing Hyeon-suk cooking in the kitchen, Yeong-su made an appeal, saying, "I went to find Hyeon-suk around 2 AM." Hearing this, Hyeon-suk laughed and said, "Liar!" and added, "You can tell me (your business) now." Yeong-su expressed regret, saying, "Because the camera is here, it's a bit..." and they all had breakfast together.

Once the meal ended, the solo men's 'final strikes' poured out. Yeong-sik personally arranged a 'special date' to call out Yeong-suk and handed her a bouquet and a letter. Yeong-cheol also, for Jeong-suk who had received zero votes on the first day and thus did not receive a doll, gifted a recorded doll that pays homage to that time, a gerbera bouquet, and a handwritten letter. Jeong-suk expressed her gratitude, saying, "It's the first time in my life I've received flowers from a man." Yeong-ho also handed a handwritten letter to Sun-ja and proposed, saying, "Be my first love! No, be my last love." Gwang-su also activated an unpredictable 'straightforward mode' at the last moment. Watching the other solo men express their feelings in their own ways, he said, "Should I propose even now?" and suddenly went to find Jeong-suk. Gwang-su confessed to Jeong-suk, "Even if it's not perfect, I must express my feelings to the best of my ability," and then picked up a nearby stone to make an impromptu proposal. Due to Gwang-su's eccentric 'stone performance', Jeong-suk was speechless, and Gwang-su emphasized in an interview that he did his best in 'Solo Country', saying, "I think it's better to do it and regret it."

Finally, the time for the final selection arrived. Defying everyone's expectations, Yeong-su went straight to Hyeon-suk. At Yeong-su's move, Hyeon-suk was bewildered, asking, "Wasn't it practice?" Yeong-su stated, "I don't think it's right to judge a person without trying. I want to get to know her properly." However, Hyeon-suk gave up on the final selection. Yeong-ho and Sun-ja chose each other and became the first couple. Following this, Yeong-sik chose Yeong-suk, but Yeong-suk did not make a final selection. Yeong-suk confessed in an interview, "I didn't choose because I was afraid of hurting a good person." Sang-cheol and Yeong-ja, as well as Ok-sun, also gave up on the final selection. Finally, both Yeong-cheol and Gwang-su headed towards Jeong-suk, and after much deliberation, Jeong-suk chose Yeong-cheol. With this, two pairs of final couples, Yeong-ho-Sun-ja and Yeong-cheol-Jeong-suk, were born. Gwang-su placed meaning on expressing his feelings honestly, saying, "If I hadn't, I felt like the thought 'What if I had chosen?' would keep coming to me."

As Season 33, which showed their respective ways of growing in romance despite a clumsy and awkward start, comes to an end, Season 34 can be met on ENA and SBS Plus 'I Am SOLO', which will broadcast on Wednesday, October 7 at 10:30 PM, with a 'Multi-child Special' theme.
