Lim Young-woong wins 'Best Entertainer Award' beating Yoo Jae Suk and Seo Jang-hoon

The Korea Broadcasting Association (Chairman Ahn Hyung-jun / MBC President) held the 53rd Korea Broadcasting Awards ceremony at the MBC Open Hall at 3 PM on the 3rd, which is Broadcasting Day, and announced one Grand Prize, 30 Works Awards, and 20 individual award winners and works.

In the individual awards category on this day, Lim Young-woong of SBS 'Island Bachelor Hero' was honored with the Best Male Entertainer Award. Lim Young-woong was selected as the winner after competing against formidable entertainers such as Sung Si-kyung, Lee Seo Jin, Seo Jang-hoon, and Yoo Jae Suk.

In particular, to actively reflect viewer choices, the 53rd Korea Broadcasting Awards this year reflected 100% of the online viewer voting results in the selection of winners for five categories, including Best Male and Female Actors, Best Male and Female Entertainers, and Best Singer. This holds additional significance as it is the first time in the 53-year history of the Korea Broadcasting Awards that viewer voting has been fully reflected.

In particular, Lim Young-woong was evaluated as having played a central role in the entertainment program by showcasing his unique sincere and comfortable charm through the program while naturally mingling with guests and performers.

The Korea Broadcasting Awards is a representative broadcasting awards ceremony held since 1973 that integrates terrestrial broadcasters to highlight excellent broadcasting programs and the activities of broadcasters. At this year's ceremony, the 5.18 46th Anniversary Special Documentary 'Looking for the Sender' by KBS Gwangju Broadcasting Station won the Grand Prize.

Lim Young-woong expressed his feelings, saying, "It seems like an undeserved award," and "I dedicate this honor to the staff and the island villagers who welcomed me warmly."
