Jang Dong-yoon to marry Kim Seung-yun, five years his junior, in October... a connection between director and actor

[News & Book = Reporter Kang Sun-young] Actor Jang Dong-yoon (34) and Kim Seung-yun (29) will marry this coming October.

On the 25th, Jang Dong-yoon announced his marriage via a handwritten letter posted on his Instagram, stating, “This coming October, I am marrying the person I have been with for a long time,” and “We plan to hold a quiet wedding ceremony with a service, inviting both families.”

He went on to explain, “There were many thoughts and considerations before deciding to marry,” and “By spending much time together, we came to know many different sides of each other, and as much as that, we came to understand and cherish each other more.”

He stated, “We have decided to become each other's side in the closest way possible and live a fun and happy life together,” and “I wanted to share this news first with all of you who have always cheered for me by my side and have been with me through every moment of my journey as an actor.”

Jang Dong-yoon added, “You might be surprised by this sudden news, but I would be grateful if you could watch over us with warm hearts,” and “I will strive to show good sides as an actor and to live more maturely as a person.”

Born in 1992, Jang Dong-yoon drew attention in 2015 when he caught a robber at a convenience store in Seoul.

After debuting in the entertainment industry with the web drama 'Game Company Female Employees', he has appeared in various dramas and movies such as 'The Tale of Nokdu', 'Oasis', 'Like Flowers in Sand', 'Run Boy Run', and 'Wolf Hunting'.

In 2023, he made his debut as a film director through the short film 'Please Be My Ear'.

Born in 1997, Kim Seung-yun debuted with the drama 'The Tale of Nokdu' in 2019. She has previously worked with Jang Dong-yoon, playing the lead roles in the films 'Please Be My Ear' and 'The Yeast', which he directed.
