[News & Book = Reporter Kang Sun-young] The SBS drama 'Agent Kim Reactivated' has taken the number one spot in the Netflix global non-English shows category for three consecutive weeks.
According to Netflix's official TOP 10 website on the 22nd, 'Agent Kim Reactivated' reached 8.2 million views from the 13th to the 19th, ascending to the top of the global TOP 10 non-English shows category. Views are calculated by dividing the total viewing time of a work by its total running time.
'Agent Kim Reactivated' is a revenge action drama about the world's most ordinary father who becomes the 'world's most dangerous man' to find his only daughter. Based on the webtoon of the same name, the vivid characters, fast-paced development, and the heavy acting of lead actor So Ji-sub increased the immersion.
The Netflix series 'The East Palace', released on the 17th, took second place. It entered the top rankings by recording 4.9 million views just three days after its release. Combining action, Occult, and fantasy, 'The East Palace' depicts the story of Gu-cheon, who possesses the ability to traverse the world of ghosts, and Saeng-gang, a court lady with a secret, who are summoned by the King to uncover a curse dwelling in the East Palace. Nam Joo Hyuk, Roh Yoon-seo, and Cho Seung-woo appear in the series.
The JTBC drama 'Apartment' starring Jisung rose to 5th place with 3.3 million views, and the Netflix series 'Teach You a Lesson' starring Kim Mu-yeol recorded 6th place with 2.9 million views. 'Spellbound', starring Park Eun-bin and Yang Se-jong, also made the list at 8th place with 1.7 million views.
As a result, Korean content accounted for half of the global non-English top 10, proving its popularity.
