In the 9th episode of the SBS Friday-Saturday Drama 'Agent Kim Reactivated' (written by Da-Jung Nam, directed by Lee Seung-young and Soeun Lee) airing on the 24th, Agent Kim (played by So Ji-sub) and Joo Kang-chan (played by Joo Sang-wook) meet again in a deserted forest to engage in a life-or-death struggle to end their persistent ill fate.
The previous 8th episode recorded 23.6% and a peak of 26.2% based on Nielsen Korea's Seoul metropolitan area ratings, rewriting the highest viewership record for a mini-series broadcast in 2026. In the ending of episode 8, as Agent Kim was caught in a massive conspiracy and surrounded by gun barrels, Joo Kang-chan proceeded with a revenge that crossed the line, foreshadowing an unpredictable catastrophe.
In the photos released ahead of the broadcast, the two continue their volatile confrontation. Agent Kim, with clear wounds on his face, reveals determination with an unwavering gaze, while Joo Kang-chan applies pressure with a provocative line, "It seems the parent consultation isn't quite finished yet," while wearing a chilling smile. The cold stares of the two, pointing guns at each other, complete the breathtaking tension.
On the filming set, So Ji-sub completed the character's anger and determination through only restrained expressions and an unwavering gaze. Joo Sang-wook also countered with a chilling charisma, not losing his composure even in front of the gun barrel, creating taut tension. It is said that the two actors displayed flawless chemistry in the scene where they exchanged lines and glances while pointing guns, making even the set hold its breath.
The production team stated, "In this 9th episode, the final confrontation between Agent Kim and Joo Kang-chan will raise the tension of the drama to its peak," and urged, "Please stay with us until the end to see what results the moment of fate faced by the two will bring."
