Gong Hyo-jin Pulls the Trigger… 'A Bona Fide Killer' Jung Jun-won and Lee Sang-yi, Formation of Kingfisher Task Force
MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'A Bona Fide Killer' achieved record-breaking viewership ratings as the protagonist Yu Bo-na (Gong Hyo-jin) eliminates a target, leading to the formation of a special investigation team led by Lee Sang-yi.
[News & Book = Reporter Song Young-du] The MBC Friday-Saturday drama 'A Bona Fide Killer' defended its throne in its time slot by breaking its own highest viewership ratings.
According to the viewership rating agency Nielsen Korea on the 30th, episode 10 of 'A Bona Fide Killer' broadcast on the 29th showed a viewership rating of 9.9% for nationwide households and 9.7% for households in the metropolitan area. In the scene where the protagonist Yu Bo-na (played by Gong Hyo-jin) sings 'One Million Roses' at a karaoke room, the peak viewership soared to 13.3%, and the 2054 viewership also recorded 3.3%, ranking first among all programs broadcast that day.
In this episode, 'Kingfisher' Yu Bo-na, Kwon Tae-seong (played by Jung Jun-won), and Lee Sang-yi (played by Lee Sang-yi) were depicted in a tense confrontation at the sniping scene of Jang Eun-hak (played by Kim Min-sang).
At the moment Lee Sang-yi was surrounding Jang Eun-hak, Yu Bo-na pulled the trigger one step ahead to eliminate the target. Immediately after the sniping, Yu Bo-na identified Kwon Tae-seong at the scene and quickly hid her body, and Lee Sang-yi, who arrived at the sniping location shortly after, clashed with Kwon Tae-seong, showing a stark difference in perspective regarding Kingfisher's private sanctions.
Immediately after the incident, Kwon Tae-seong recalled the back of the sniper Kingfisher and began to harbor doubts about the true identity of Kingfisher, whom he had previously assumed to be male. Subsequently, Kwon Tae-seong, who expanded the scope of the investigation to the Haegong-dong sniping incident from four years ago, approached the core of the case by discovering that the son of the victim Yeon Chang-bok (played by Lee Kyu-seop) had entered an orphanage.
At the end of the broadcast, a Kingfisher special investigation team led by Lee Sang-yi was officially launched. At the moment Kwon Tae-seong visited the orphanage where Yeon Chang-bok's son stays, Ok's flower shop sticker was captured, and the sight of Yu Bo-na spending her daily life peacefully at the flower shop at the same time created a contrast, heightening expectations for how the investigation net will narrow in the future.
